Weekend
Out there
What do you see?
Beam tangle
Cacti skyline
Maybe it's pointing to something.
Movie stars
Magnolia moon
Aren't any elevator around here accessible to people in wheelchairs?
RR wings. Its retroscience fiction / steampunk look made the RR quite a nice sight.

Aux alentours
North Campus, 409ed
You know it's getting really close to summertime when kites get stuck in power lines along your street.
I took these pics yesterday and today while I was running errands or shuttling back and forth between home and bench.

Mall day
Piece of art at a car repair shop
It is a bit like E.T. grew up and is biking by himself.
They really try to attract attention
Reminds me of Dogma's Mooby the Cow.
Potential art car
Never deserted, even on a Saturday morning.
The fireman truck made me shoot this. And the building as the feel of the Las Vegas' Wynn.
World Cup time at the Mall
A big plantation of cacti in the middle of the walkway mall. The landscaping department sending a not so subtle message to shoppers about not messing with the greenery?
There was plenty of very expensive cars on display last saturday. I used to watch Formula 1 car racing a long time ago. That's an Indy car, but that must be close enough.
Beautiful landscaping art. A bit remininescent of the UTSW North Campus building shapes...
I couldn't get enough of that landscaping work.
It is creative in many ways.
Finally I got a snapshots of these cultural icons.
Like it and hate it at the same time. So many different symbols/interpretation to be thought of.
:)
Turtle pile up, duckies
Last Saturday I jumped on the DART bus and went to the mall. For once I had my camera to take snapshots of scenes of interest (This is a very unbalanced view of the day. Dallas has its big share of sad scenes; but how to take pictures of 'la condition humaine'?).
Not yet ready to run around too much, so I decided to focus my activities around one spot of Dallas: the North Park mall. Haircut, movies, impromptu encounters with departmental co-workers, food shopping paced my day.
I went for the brainless fun cartoonish comedy time and it thankfully gave me quite a few laughs. 'The Greek' was actually pretty good. I couldn't believe the cameo I saw; it was one of the high points of the movie. 'A-team' was pretty fun too; so impossible in many ways but fairly well orchestrated for the genre.
During the day while I was picnicking with my ziplocked lunch and dinner, I felt weird to be probably the only one bringing my own food at the mall. But then again, I enjoyed my deli sandwiches, vegetable, fruits, and cocoa honey vanilla dessert.
VoilĂ , now I am back carrying my pocket camera with me :)
